Jenny: We…we didn’t have enough time. It wasn’t enough
Ken: It was for me. I got to kiss you. To feel your skin against mine. If I have to, I can go the rest of my life that memory. I can live with it. I can’t live with letting those guys die.
Jenny: I love you.
Ken: I love you, too.

Avengers Academy #35 by Christos Gage & Andrea Di Vito

Anonymous asked: I'm scared for the new girl and Black Cat, Matt's girlfriends have a bad history of getting fridged(Widow being the exception). :(

That’s definitely a valid concern. It’s no secret that writers for Daredevil have been… less than kind to Matt’s love interests. Daredevil is probably over all my favorite series to read, but that has always been my issue with reading Daredevil stories. It sucks consistently having women (who in the book just so happen to be really awesome) killed or maimed in some way.

However, I would say that I trust Mark Waid as a writer, and I’ve been impressed by his work on this book as well as others. Especially since he’s decided to take this book in a new direction— focusing not on what ~terrible things we can do to ruin Matt Murdock’s life and instead looking at how Matt moves forward and tries to deal with the terrible shit that has happened to him/he’s done, I think there’s even more of a likelihood that they’ll stay alive and not be driven to madness. I mean, unless he completely wants to change the tone of the book, I think that Felicia and Kirsten are safe.

But, after Waid who knows. The next person that comes aboard might want to take the book back to the Frank Miller school of grimdark. Or even Waid, for whatever reason, might come along and disappoint me. I loved Brubaker’s work (and still do), but his writing out of Milla was pretty fucked up. I don’t know. We’ll see.

I guess I’ll just keep enjoying the series as it comes to me monthly, and if I end up having qualms with it I end up having qualms with it. And if anything happens to either Felicia or Kirsten, you will definitely hear about my anger on this blog, hahahaha.

Jessica Lea Mayfield - Tell Me - “Our Hearts Are Wrong”

Love has brought me down,
Like love’s been known to do.
I try to deny with all my heart
That I’m in love with you.
I don’t really care.
You knew that’s what I’d say.
The only time I miss you
Is every single day.

I know how you work.
I am just like you.
No matter what you say,
Our hearts are wrong,
Our hearts are wrong.
