[X-23: Target X #1]
Mike Choi, your X-Force art is better than the art in this mini, but the art in this mini is still gorgeous and has it’s moments of brilliance I think (you know, when you’re not getting her body type wrong :/).
There are all these close ups of Laura’s eyes in this mini, and I think it’s a pretty cool way to express how she feels. I mean, we all know Laura isn’t much of a talker, so Choi chose to express her feelings about what’s happening through focusing solely in on her eyes.
And thus, just some panels of Laura’s eyes give me feelings. Oh, Laura baby, I love you so much.

Laura in sneakers?
Is it possible to be more in love with her? This is a legitimate question.
My blog is forever a Laura appreciation blog. Look at the skulls on her shirt, guys. LOOK.
COVER FOR AVENGERS ACADEMY #23
#22 has still yet to be shown. But OMG Laura is guest starring!! I am beyond excited!
Here’s what Christos had to say on it:
Marvel.com: Now on the cover to issue #23, we have Mettle flinging X-23 into the reader’s lap. How does Laura end up in AVENGERS ACADEMY?
Christos Gage: There’ll be a more extensive explanation in issue #23, but suffice it to say both the Avengers Academy faculty and the X-Men felt it would be beneficial. Laura has “baggage” with some of the X-Men kids she doesn’t have here. And she has struggled with some similar issues to cast members from AVENGERS ACADEMY, including wrestling with being a killer. So they’re hoping it will benefit all concerned. Of course, there are risks, too.
Screaming.
X-23 #13
At least the old lady seems happy!
Phil Noto’s Laura faces are one of my most favorite things in this world.
So to finish my blogging of me crying about superheroes, I will end with Laura Kinney. Because, let’s be real, she has been sorely missed from my blog. Laura, baby, I love you so much. And you make me so sad.
Your self-esteem issues are relatable, but so off base. You are so great, Laura. I just wish you could recognize that.
