thenewavengers asked: Calm your tamale. Seriously. Dude I'm not insulting anyone, seriously. Read my reblog after she posted it. It's opinions, people are allowed to have them. But wow, if I'm being douchey, you've gone totally full retard with insulting me. Do you not see the hypocrisy? "YOUR OPINIONS ARE WRONG! STOP TELLING PEOPLE THEIR OPINIONS ARE WRONG!" Unbelievable. I only said "Do your research" because Skottie is with a K not a C. Fucking hell. Fly off the handle why don't you?

I guess I’ll start my response by saying that yes, certainly, everyone is allowed opinions! This is a thing that everyone is allowed to have! But, and this seems to be something that a lot of people miss, (purposefully miss???) is that people are allowed, in turn, to disagree with opinions.

Or, better yet (what I was doing in this particular case), to disagree with how you go about expressing said opinions that you are certainly allowed to have.

The problem lies here with you— you reblog a post from someone stating your opinions. But, your opinions are essentially these— that you think that wintersoldiers opinions, that she stated in the post that you reponded to, were incorrect. That JMS’s run on Spider-Man was NOT GOOD (so, essentially, refuting her opinion that the run is, in fact, good). These are both opinions, certainly, and both opinions that can be had! But, reblogging her and saying I DON’T AGREE WITH THESE OPINIONS. And then getting mad when people in turn don’t agree with yours is… ridiculous. And petulant. And childish. You can tell Lori that her opinions are wrong all you like! I can, in turn, tell you that all of your opinions are wrong. This is the way the world works. When you state your opinion, people can counter it. It’s… not that hard of a concept? And it’s funny, that the entire point of your post was to counter an opinion… but you get mad when someone counters yours…

And, honestly, I wouldn’t have had a problem with you in the slightest if your post had just said ‘Ehhhh. Not sure about JMS’s Spider-Man, I prefer Slott’s run myself’. That would have been fine! No one would have been annoyed in the slightest! But, you did not do this. As I stated previously, the problem comes in how you phrased your response.

You were flabbergasted that someone had a different opinion from you own! You seemed to be surprised that someone’s opinion (which everyone can have!!!) was different than yours. Your post was bafflement that someone could like JMS’s run vs. Slott’s. THE WHOLE POINT OF YOUR POST WAS TO REFUTE AN OPINION. But people can’t have a rebuttal to your opinion? Is your opinion so ~sacred~ that no one should dare refute it? Seriously? What are you getting at here?

As for the Skottie vs. Scottie argument it’s a harmless mistake! A typo! You knew who she meant, what need is there to point that out in a separate bullet point? People make typos ALL THE TIME. I’m sure you have, I know I have. This, in no way, means that she needs to do more research! In fact, that’s such a ridiculous notion, that I just assumed you meant that she wasn’t informed on comics canon. Because… if you think that not knowing if it’s Skottie or Scottie (or, more likely, simply misspelling his name Scottie on a blog post) is grounds that she needs more research that’s ridiculous. How much research are you going to do on an artist’s name? Is Google considered research now? What fucking research do you expect her to do on an artist’s name for crying out loud?

So. Yes. Getting back to what seems to be your main point— opinions are a thing that everyone can have. I can have an opinion on you, you can have one on me, we can have the same opinions or differing ones. No one is trying to jump into your brain and steal your opinions. No one is even deleting those opinions from a blog post. Your opinions aren’t going away, nor is anyone banning you from having opinions. I’m refuting them, just as you attempted to unsuccessfully refute Lori’s. I’m sorry you don’t understand how arguments work.

I hate that people try and play the victim when they start shit. You reblog someone’s post and respond to it in a way that you try and make Lori sound like she doesn’t know her shit (HOW CAN YOU LIKE THIS RUN????? WHY DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW TO SPELL SKOTTIE YOUNG’S NAME???). But when people respond negatively to this response you act like you’re a victim. When… you’re not.

Not even going to respond to what you so kindly decided to call me, but I will say that yes. You were being a douche. And now you’re trying to pretend that you weren’t, in fact, being a douche. You were. But that’s just ~my opinion~, and according to your argument you can’t refute that, right?

magicalgirlserena asked: For the meme: 6 and 16?

Ok, can I be honest and say that I was hoping you’d do this? Because you started following me, and then I looked at your blog and was completely intimidated because you seemed so awesome. And I was ~nervous that you’d realize just how ridiculous I am, but I also secretly wanted to get to know you because you seem, well, so awesome.

~Anyways~

6: What are the top five places you wish you could go before you die?

Huh. This is interesting and not a question I’ve really thought much about? But lessee… I’d say London, Venice (because I’ve kind of taken a survey of Italy— going to a number of cities in just a few days but I still haven’t been to Venice! Which sucks because I’m actually learning Italian at the moment), Prague, Tokyo, annnnd Cairo.

I gotta be honest, that was hard! There are a lot of places I’d like to see.

16: What do you like to do in your spare time?

Aaaahaha. This is hard, because sometimes I feel like I don’t do much of anything if I don’t have to? But I do like to read comics (obviously), as well as other books. I have an intense love of a lot of young adult books (god knows why, a number are pretty terrible). Um. I like to play video games and scream really loudly with my friends (these two things go together. When we play Mario Kart or Super Smash Brothers I’m sure that we bother nearly everyone else in the house). I like movies, and I watch a lot of television as well. I’m currently trying to come up with an anime to watch because I haven’t watched one in a while and I’ve really wanted to, but mostly I just look at everything that’s on Netflix and… don’t actually watch any of it.

I also do photography, but not nearly as much as I used to. I still love it, but since I’m not majoring/minoring in it in college, it’s kind of taken a the back burner.

I also spend an embarrassing amount of time cuddling my cat even though it makes her really unhappy.
