Omggggg. I really only think we’ve been following each other for a few months? And generally even when we talked it was usually through Julia? And I still thought you were really neat and smart and talented (your knitting is actually something that I find really admirable? Idk man I’m lucky if I have the sort of dedication to make a friendship bracelet I can’t imagine the effort/skill it would take to knit an entire blanket). But then we had MMFD and you stumbled into my inbox and I just never wanted to let you go?

Like idk I just want to pick your brain for ever show I watch because you’re able to type my feelings in a way that I really can’t? When I get emotional I have a hard time putting into words WHY exactly it got me in such a state but you’re able to do that in a way that’s really nice/concise but really resonates?

And like I said I think you’re admirable for your knitting skills/dedication, but in general I just think you’re a really… admirable person? You’re so smart and sweet and thoughtful and even organized (omg I could not have organized the sort of watching party for MMFD that you did if I TRIED).

Wow idk I just think you’re delightful. Plz don’t leave me behind when everyone realizes how fantastic you are, etc.

[X-Force v3 #20]
Ughhhh. One of the most definitive Laura scenes for me. She pulls the claws out of her severed hand because she has no use for them. Because it will help Agent Morales live.
It’s as simple as that to Laura. Agent Morales needs to live, her claws will help. She doesn’t think about herself. She doesn’t think about anything other than that she wants Morales to live and this will do it.
And the moment when Morales switches from calling her X-23 to calling her Laura? Is a really brilliant and beautiful moment. She goes from calling Laura the name that The Facility gave her, the name that simply means she’s clone number 23, to calling her Laura. The name her mother gave her. Because in this moment she realizes that Laura isn’t some unfeeling robot, not some mindless clone, she’s a person.
And a beautiful one at that.
