Anonymous asked: You have always struck me as an amazingly sincere person. You are pleasantly sarcastic without being rude. I don't think you give yourself enough credit. Always good for conversation. Great taste in comics.

GeeeEEEZE wow that’s nice!

And I mean I’m really Bad at Compliments so that probably goes w/ not giving myself much credit. Also self esteem issues but w/e.

I WILL however give myself credit on my comic tastes b/c yeah I have p. great taste in comics tbh. ;]

Anonymous asked: I don't think watching TVD means you have poor taste! To me it just says that you'll try anything and you enjoy the things you enjoy which is the best indicator of taste imo. Also I almost accidentally killed myself by using a waterproofer for my shoes in my room that didn't have any ventilation and then forgot about it for like four hours so you're definitely cooler than me. Also cap gif <3

Awwww dang you’re sweet!

And I bet you’re secretly hecka cool too~

Anonymous asked: You are the coolest ever and have great taste <3

Awww ty ty that’s really sweet!

It’s really untrue (no jokes I have been catching up on The Vampire Diaries in my spare time that is my TASTE LEVEL), but also very sweet.

Anonymous asked: AH I think you are fabulous and I've followed you for ages and every now and then I want to come and say something to you but I always chicken out. But seriously I always think your opinions are fabulous and you were basically the tipping point for me watching My Mad Fat Diary which was the best decision ever and now you're watching the X-Files and that is really cool too! Anyway I think you are an amazing person and I hope you remember that!

Anonymous asked: ur a dynamite gal and ur cat is p gr8 too

Yeah she’s ok I GUESS.

Anonymous asked: I feel like you're more fabulous than you let yourself really believe sometimes. :)

Anonymous asked: There's also Helena Wayne was a female Robin.

Yeah, you’re definitely right although that’s only on Earth 2! So in the main universe there hasn’t been (iirc, we had a list of the Robins early and they listed them as Dick-Damian w/ no mention of Steph or anything). Like, Helena’s never fought as Robin in whatever ~earth~ the current DCU continuity exists in, no?

So yes while in the overall 52 universe we’ve had a female Robin, she was only on Earth two and we only saw her as Robin briefly (just the first issue of World’s Finest, mostly? And the first issue of Earth Two?)

Still should have specified, though, I suppose!

Anonymous asked: How would you describe Finn? in an physical and emotional level, what would be your opinion about him?

Hmmmm this is sort of a difficult question because we know so little about him?

I mean, on a physical level he’s… attractive? Idk. I’ve mentioned before he’s not my usual type, but even I think on an objective front he’s a cute dude. Pretty typical of who would have been considered ~handsome~ in high school as well. At my high school, in the least.

On an emotional level the question becomes difficult because we know so little about him. Most of what we get isn’t explicitly stated. He seems to be a bit uneasy with letting people in— he mentions how he was a bit cold to Rae because he didn’t know her, and even with people he knows he’s kind of closed off— he likes talking to Rae and he doesn’t like talking to anyone, etc. He’s largely protective of the people he cares about— punching out that dude who was heckling Rae.

Other than that? We know he loves his nan. We know he likes Rae (whether it’s explicitly romantic or not). We don’t know much else yet, I don’t think? What his family is like? What he likes other than music?

If you’re asking just my feelings on Finn I like him a lot so far! I like that he likes Rae so much and that he’s let her in. I think he could skate that ~jerk with a heart of gold~ line easily, but idk he’s not really a jerk at all to Rae at this point, which is actually quite nice.

Idk probably most especially I like that he could be the ~dude of Rae’s dreams~, that this could stand as one of the few times that a fat girl gets the guy she wants without it being a joke. Which I guess has little to do with… him as a character and more to do with the role that he plays in the story but!

Does that answer your question?

Anonymous asked: Did Daredevil realize that the Spider-Man he faced wasn't Peter?

DAREDEVIL #22 SPOILERS BELOW

Nope. :[

Originally I thought he would— that Otto would have a different heartbeat and all that. But I guess because Otto is in Peter’s body all signs are the same.

Matt DID notice how weird he was acting— especially at first— but when he went through all the tests it still seemed like Peter. He thought, originally, that Peter might have been being mind controlled. But then Otto helped Matt out and he it changed his mind. Tbh, Matt does have a lot on his mind rn (most of all being broke as hell).

I was hoping Matt would be the first to figure it out with his ~human lie detector~ thing, but I guess not. :/

At least for now.

Anonymous asked: Thanos is an important Marvel characters, so that creative team seems like the perfect fit.

K.

I mean I didn’t say I didn’t know WHY they’re doing it.

I just still think it’s dumb.

And I still don’t care about Thanos.

Anonymous asked: I kida wish it had more WoC than just two, i like how diverse Defenders is for example, but i still like the line up for Wood's all female X-Men!

(This is re: Wood’s upcoming X-Men for Marvel: NOW ftr, I think this message was sent a while ago but I took a tremendous nap, as it happens on Mondays~)

That’s definitely something— I would have loved to see Frenzy, Monet (which would be unlikely b/c it seems MOST X-Factor characters are just for that book), or any other number WOC X-Ladies. It also would have been nice to have more queer women (Karma?) in the book.

But as it stands I still think it’s a good book with a good cast (2 out of 5 WOC in a team of all women isn’t so bad with Marvel’s history), so I’m excited. Plus, Jubilee being the leader is something (I’m desperately praying that Wood can fix her up. I’ve disliked all this vampire stuff). But I’m glad you like the line up as well!

Wrt Fearless Defenders, I’m also super excited about that, and I love that Bunn is including so many different women.

Rotating casts sometimes lose me a bit though? I prefer to follow a core cast and deal with the emotional fall out between the members (which seems to be what Wood likes as well), which I feel can sometimes get lost with a large rotating cast? Also, unfortunately, I’m not wholly impressed with the interior art we’ve seen for the book. Hopefully, wrt art, it turns out to be a false first impression!

But in all honesty I’m just glad there there is more than one book at Marvel to go to for women (Fearless, X-Men, and UXF is woman heavy). I hope this leads to even more change? (And hopefully some more solo books as well)???

Anonymous asked: Slott's Spider-Man has been good. Even the current story isn't bad, people are mainly upset about the ending. If that makes any sense.

Well, I mean, I know a number of people on here that have been unhappy with his whole run, and this ending is sort of just icing on the cake. But I also know of people that love it (Scott Snyder’s a fan, and he’s usually got decent taste?)

But, yeah, if you want to talk in context I can’t really talk about Slott’s run overall and how this ending relates to it, I can just say that I like Peter and the idea of this being his ending (for now) is upsetting.

Anonymous asked: What do you think of the whole "Doc Ock in Peter's body" thing?

I mean, I’m probably not the person to ask this b/c while I quite like Peter Parker (and a lot of other Spider-Man characters), I’m not a webhead by any stretch. So it’s not as upsetting to me personally as if, say, the same thing happened to Matt Murdock or w/e.

Even so, I think it’s p. fucked up. The idea of Doc Ock being with MJ, as they’ve implied, in Peter’s body is all sorts of fucked up on its own. And something I will be really grossed out by if it occurs.

Plus the interviews that the team has given wrt this plot twist have been outwardly hostile to the fans of Peter Parker in a way that I think is pretty fucking dickish. (I don’t mean interviews about the leak, but rather the one w/ Newsarama was it? That was like ~fans will just go by the wayside it happens ppl will forget eventually~)

I mean, clearly this won’t last (no matter what they say), but still. I don’t like it.

I like Peter Parker as Spider-Man, and I’d like him to stay as such in the 616. But, I mean, I think it would be something if they went a la the Ultimates verse—passing the title onto someone similarly heroic (that also diversifies Marvel’s line up) rather than… Doc Ock.

You know?

1, 2, & 7 I already answered. (Sorry— I never expected people would actually be awake to play this with me???)

But!

38: If you were to pick the dream superhero book you’d wanna read who would write it, and who would draw it, and what hero would it be about?:

Hmmmm. Good question! I would love a Storm ongoing written by Brian Wood drawn by Terry Dodson!!!!
