Oh no, same. My pouring things on myself has little to do with my level of sobriety and everything to do with the fact that I’m an uncoordinated dweeb. Doesn’t matter if it’s in a water bottle, a glass, or a mug, there’s a 75% chance that I will spill my drink on myself.

I may start reading this. DCnU was really pissing me off, so I started reading more Marvel. Now AvX is pissing me off, so I am looking at DC titles to read. I just want a comic that won’t make me want to bang my head against the wall.

Ahhhh. You should!

There have been a number of crossovers with the series, though, mostly with the story contained within I, Vampire (we saw Batman and Constantine, but the stories were self-contained). Then we had a crossover with JL: Dark, which you do sort of have to read both. Which was fine with Jayme and I because we get both series. But, the crossover issues in JL: Dark were a bit weak, but man in I, Vampire I thought those issues were fantastic.

That would be my only caveat with the series?

Other than that it’s a fun horror comic. Andrew’s ~gang~ that come about later (an older professor and a young teenager) are really fun, and any scene Mary is in is gold.

Also Fialkov is one of the most precious and endearing dudes working in comics right now and I just want to cuddle him a lot. Plus he’s probably the BIGGEST Mary stan so it’s all good.

And there’s consistently fantastic art (both the line work and the inking are GORG), so I think it’s worth a pick up. Especially if you don’t want to be wrecked by how much DC has messed with your faves.

And if you don’t like the whole ~drinking blood cliched vampire stuff, it’s also worth a pick up because it focuses more on them being like monsters (hence the shapeshifting).

So yeah!!! That’s my plug~

Yeah. I mean, I’m one of those annoying people that’s like ‘THERE MUST BE A REASON!!! EVEN IF IT’S STUPID THERE MUST BE ONE!!!’ But idk idk idk, that’s just me. REASON!! Like I’m straight out of the Enlightenment. 

But with this girl… she said she HAD reasons and then… didn’t list them? While also saying that Natasha is interesting? Like, why do you hate her? I need to know your ~reasons.

And, lol, yeah. Usually people on tumblr (my corner, at least) are pretty good at not being lady haters but… man. In fandom it’s such a problem. And such an ANNOYING one.

I didn’t know you were a Veronica Mars fan. It really is one of those series that I have re-watched over and over again.Veronica was one of those characters who could have easily turned annoying after the second episode, but Kristen Bell was perfect.

Yep! I started watching it when I was in… 8th grade? They were still airing s2. And, yeah, it’s a series like that for me as well (except s3. No s3 no thank you).

I mean, it has a lot of issues that I realized more as I got older and rewatched it, but I do still have a soft spot in my heart for it. It was the first tv series that I really LOVED. (I remember when I found out is was cancelled I pouted for, like, an hour and also cried.) Also, yeah, I loved what Kristen Bell did with Veronica. So many of the characters on the show could have been one note, but most of the actors managed to add a whole ‘nother dimension (except Duncan’s actor who’s name escapes me. Like, woah what a charisma void in a sea of charisma). 

1) Ice cream. Half Baked by Ben & Jerry’s is my fave, probably. But also all the other kinds of ice cream. 

2) Chess pie. Most unhealthy/delicious pie in existence. Give it all TO ME.

3) My sister’s tequilla lime tart. Mmmmm.

4) Cookies? Like, fresh made of course. But I am also partial to, like, Oreos. (Secretly J’onn J’onzz)

5) Red velvet cake~~~

Ok, so I really didn’t expect any messages in my ask box. I even considered deleting the post because it felt like pandering, and I just hate the idea of that, especially if I was pandering and not getting any responses.

But damn, this is really sweet of you. Exceptionally so. 

I’m glad I got you into X-23 and AA because they’re just good books, I think. And I do think that they make it clear how comics can be really great. I know sometimes I get bogged down by the bullshit in the medium (some of the reboot stuff hit me really hard as well), so it’s nice to be able to read a comic and legitimately enjoy it. And I think both AA and X-23 achieve that. 

But, yeah, again, I didn’t expect anything from this meme, so to have a message that legitimately made my night was really nice to have. Thank you so much for being so sweet. Having you on my dash has been a real joy, and I really can’t thank you enough for this message. You’re wonderful, and now have a very dear place in my heart. (I hope you don’t mind).
